The Pembina Institute works directly with communities, First Nations,
companies, governments, schools and the public to create sustainable
energy solutions and minimize the impacts of fossil fuel-based energy
projects.
Our work in Ontario focuses on developing policies that:
- reduce energy waste
- encourage renewable energy
- recycle waste heat from industrial and
commercial operations.
This strategy removes the dependency on dirty and expensive sources of energy.
We also assess Ontario's plans to meet its climate change goals in conjunction with infrastructure and community planning and press for coordination, rather than contradiction between the two.
We have offices in Toronto and Ottawa-Gatineau with a staff of experts on many issues including climate policy, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and urban planning.
